LICHFIELD ROAD

Lichfield Road was widened into a dual carriageway in 1930 to take in the increasing volume of traffic. It may not look like much back then but you can see that it's little different now: the tram has been replaced by the Bendibus!

(Both of these photos were taken from the top room of the King Edward VII pub. It remains to be seen whether any future photos will be taken from this vantage point as the pub is rumoured to be up for demolition).
