Sister Tree are a theatre company who facilitate and direct workshops using any stimuli given to them by their clients as the focal point within the workshops, via music, dance and drama.

Their aim is to educate, stimulate, challenge, create and develop artistic skills, promote self-awareness and self esteem via the arts, thus creating a dynamic atmosphere within their sessions.

Catering for all age groups, participants experience various ways of thinking, improvising, co-operating, relaxing, devising, expressing and developing themselves.

Sister Tree have been on the creative circuit for 12 years and, within the last three, have catapulted onto the expressive arts scene in a very dramatic way. The rapport they have built up with their community is second to none.

The company is run by Margaret Polack and Sharon Jones.

Drama
We use various styles and techniques to explore body language, facial expression and characters. We explore living and emotional issues; via this we encourage all participants to create a short pieces of drama.

Music
Rhythm games, percussion instruments, breath-control, vocal techniques, voice projection, singing, harmonies, chanting, composition and improvisation.

Dance
We create contemporary, hip-hop, jazz, popular and African dance. We develop weight and balance control, body awareness and basic choreography.
