Sinthetic is a video production company. In March 2000, councillor Tony Kennedy approached us with his idea to make a video which, combined with stills photography, was to represent the highs and lows of life in Aston. This accompanied the regeneration bid for £50 million that was made to central government last April.

Since then, as Sinthetic, we've worked on lots of differnet projects including theatre, pop music and collecting audio visual info for the internet. We see our strength as combining creative photographic imagery with digital video presentation.

Our involvement with Our Story was to collect portraits of the young and old, record Aston's urban landscape and interview people in the community for their memories and aspirations. As well as being an interesting and enjoyable project, we see this work as historically valuable, providing future generations with an insight into life in Aston at the turn of the millennium.
