IRIS BLACKWOOD

Hard Times

About fifty years ago you'd have three people have to sleep on one single bed. One Indian boy I knew had to go to school bare-foot.

Youth

The younger generation are in paradise. They're lucky. They have no respect for their elders.

Getting Better

I'd like some help, but you have to make yourself happy. Old age takes over and you can't get better. Some old people get away scot-free and have no complaints: they can walk and not have to catch the bus. I don't believe I'm going to heaven, just in the ground. I have arthritis. My bones are rubbing together and wearing away, and I'm partially blind. I'd like my family to come from Jamaica and help me.

Blindness

When it's night it's dark, and when it's day it's dark. One eye is gone and the other is going.

Natural Remedies

A good healer is boiled marijuana.

Lottery

If I won the lottery I'd give it to charity, and my friends and family.
